After a few sound therapy sessions, some clients decide to take the experience further by learning how to play the instruments.
Richard believes in one-to-one training. It is the best way to attain the highest competence as a sound therapist.
It is impossible to learn the techniques using the Internet! How can the pupil hear the subtle differences in tone and timbre?
Students visit Richard at his purpose build therapy centre at his home. They are taken on a journey of discovery and will leave with a diploma to help them begin their journey as a sound therapist.
One does not have to have any formal knowledge of music to become a sound therapist. Richard believes all of us has a latent understandimg of viabrational therapy. To support this belief, Richard guides you to the amazing feelings of wellbeing receieved when listening to songs and instrumental pieces.
Sound Therapy works with specific notes and subtle frequencies. Richard’s instruments easily produce notes and frequencies within the most effective note and frequency range. The student is taught how to discover the right notes for the clients specific needs.
For example:
A client may need to release negative thoughts or memories. A higher note or frequency is recognised as usable in this instance. During a ‘general’ sound therapy session, the practitioner may see subtle responses to a specific note or frequency. And this will guide the practitioner to a deeper understanding of the notes and frequencies needed to produce a Symphony of Healing Sound©.
Therefore, during Richard’s in-depth training, the student is not only taught about the instrument and how to produce a Symphony of Healing Sound©. The student learns how to observe and resonate with the client.
Of course, many people’s reason for training is for personal pleasure. And the system of learning Richard teaches guides the student to learn to resonate with each note and frequency. Something which takes time to learn and the old adage ‘Practice Makes Perfect’ will apply.
